Below you'll find a copy of the terms and conditions I work to. These outline the practical details of our agreement from bookings and cancellations to how I support you throughout the process. Once we've agreed to work together, you'll be asked to review and sign these terms so everything is clear, fair, and mutually understood.

Terms and Conditions

Fees

We (the couple) agree to pay a 50% booking fee to Leanne Harkin Ceremonies to plan, create, write, and officiate our marriage ceremony and we understand that this is non- refundable. On paying the 50% booking fee we acknowledge that we have read, understood, and agree with the following statements.

•The booking fee deposit is due within 7 days of agreeing the date of your marriage ceremony and is not legally confirmed until the fee is paid in full.
•If the booking deposit fee is not received within 7 days, Leanne Harkin Ceremonies reserves the right to release the date and take another booking for the date in question.
•We agree to pay the final balance (50%) 28 days prior to the wedding ceremony.

Communication

•We agree to work closely with Leanne Harkin Ceremonies and respond promptly to any questions relating to planning and writing of the wedding ceremony.

Cancellation

•We agree that if Leanne Harkin Ceremonies is unable to perform our ceremony due to illness or any other unavoidable situation, she will try her very best to arrange a replacement celebrant and he / she will share the wedding ceremony plans/script.
•We agree that in the event we should have to cancel Leanne Harkin Ceremonies services the following will apply:

1. None of the staged payments once made are refunded as Leanne Harkin Ceremonies may have turned down other work to save the date exclusively.

2. If the draft has been written, then Leanne Harkin Ceremonies reserves the right to be paid for the planning and writing of the ceremony.

3. To exercise the right to cancel, we agree to inform Leanne Harkin ceremonies via email: leanne@lhceremonies.co.uk at our earliest convenience.

Changes to the booking

• Any changes to the booking date and time of your ceremony will be accommodated whenever possible but cannot be guaranteed. If you require to postpone your ceremony, Leanne Harkin Ceremonies will honour the new date where possible, however this is also not guaranteed.

Copyright

•We agree that all written documents relating to our ceremony script are copyrighted to © Leanne Harkin Ceremonies and no reproduction or sharing with others is permitted.

Marriage Law in England

•For ceremonies to be recognised by law in England, you must also fulfil the legal requirements at a Registry Office.
•We agree to follow National Record England guidance when registering the Marriage. 

Images and Testimonials

•We agree to give Leanne Harkin Ceremonies permission to use our wedding ceremony photographs for the sole purpose of promotion of her services and we agree to email Leanne Harkin Ceremonies within 7 days of booking to opt out.
•We are fully aware that failure to opt out may result in the images being posted on Leanne Harkin Ceremonies website www.lhceremonies.co.uk or via any social media platforms.
•We are aware that we may be asked to provide a short-written testimonial; however, we are in no way obligated to provide this.Confidentiality
•We are aware that all the information that we give to Leanne Harkin Ceremonies will be treated as confidential and she will not disclose any of it to any third party without our express permission.
•Leanne Harkin Ceremonies will manage all your personal information in accordance with the law, including the new Data Protection Regulations Act 2018. All correspondence, documentation and the ceremony script will be kept confidential, except for any third parties who have been included in development and delivery of the marriage ceremony.

Insurance and Professional Affiliation

•We are aware that Leanne Harkin Ceremonies is a full member of The Academy of Professional Celebrants (APC) and adheres to their codes of practice and fully insured with cover of £1000,000 for public and product liability.
